Java Talk November 6, 2025
Thank you Faith Lutheran Church, Cicero, NY for hosting our November Java Talk. Faith Lutheran Church has been serving the Cicero Community since 1967. Bill Stevenson shared the many Missions of the church:
It begins with Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love our God and Love our Neighbors, expressing his love to others in gratitude for what we were first given.
- Nursery School, headed by Barb Snyder – https://faithlutheranschool.wixsite.com/faithlutheran
Offering close knit, safe environment for 3 & 4 yr olds to learn. Registration starts in January. - Food Pantry, headed by Tracy Foster
Run by volunteers, they work with the Food Bank of CNY along with donations to provide food for about 120/month in about a 20 mile radius. They also give birthday baskets to all kids under 18 as well as school supplies throughout the year. - AA & Al-Anon – use space to provide Hope & Guidance for those struggling with addiction in our community
- CanTeen – the Church has help donation drives to bring snacks and drinks to the kids that attend the CanTeen. They share special events with the church congregation.
- Finding the Next Step Together – Supports families with children facing life-changing diagnoses. https://www.facebook.com/…/Finding-The-Next-Step…/
- Quilting Club – Makes beautiful quilts for donations & for those in need.
- Choir – Christmas Cantata December 14th
- Women’s Bunco & Men’s Breakfast & Family Community Picnic
Thanks to the support of the community and the hard work of Lauri Hoover, they successfully held raffles to fix the roof & have a new parking lot done. Thank you chamber member Ruston Paving for the great job.
